LIME GREEN
When did that become a neutral color? If I see one more makeover show where they paint the walls lime green I'm going to puke. Am I the only person having flashbacks of the 70's & that horrid drab olive-ish green color that everyone; including my mother painted their walls & bought appliances in? I'm not a vanilla kind of lady but it makes me want to paint every single thing in my apartment white. I couldn't believe Joy Behar could keep her composure & not blurt out how putrid that room looked on the View today. Joy...who is censoring you? I know they paid for it but can you say UGLY? & you know those chicks were lying thru their teeth about loving the room. Looked to me like they were thinking, "Where's all our SHOES & SH--?"
Kind of felt bad for Meredith but on my trip to NY, I got ripped off to the tune of $100 for the nut game. Yes, & then the rocket scientist I was there w/, who watched me throw my money in, said, "I read about that scam in the tour book." Thanks for telling me after the fact. I still harbor resentment from that. but I'm from Jersey, we enjoy harboring resentment. I jest.
& in Vegas, I went to my ATM & it had been shut down & some guy came up & gave me a sob story about his car breaking down & needing $20 & actually escorted me to a nearby 7-11 & stood there while I took the $20 out of my ATM for him. I think the cashier was in on it since he watched as I gave him a look of "HELP ME". It was a dark bank parking lot. The next day at Caesars I remember Steve Bushy reading me the riot act for doing that. He'd gone to same bank & got the same story & told the guy to hit the road or offered him to help fix his tire. Steve has an easy 100lbs on me. He could offer to help fix the guys tire. It was worth the $20 to not get accosted.

Mincemeat
A rich, spicy preserve made of fruit (usually chopped cherries, dried apricots, apples or pears, raisins and candied citrus peel), nuts, beef suet, various spices and brandy or rum. Old-time mincemeats included minced, cooked lean meat (usually beef) hence the name. Most modern versions do not use meat. The ingredients are combined, then covered and allowed to mature for a month for the flavors to mingle and mellow. Mincemeat can be used in many dishes including pies, tarts, puddings and cookies.
The people from Diane's Turkey dinner will appreciate this.

Happy After Turkey Day
Note the time to anyone who heard me confess I don't normally get out of bed until 3pm yesterday at dinner. Diane-I told you, 2 glasses of wine & really- drag me out of the room when I start "crossing boundaries" w/ my topics of conversations. So much for that guy I was trying to impress. I'm finding there's nothing worse then a visual nugget of very personal info spouting from my lips too late for me to stop myself only to have me thinking, "that really was tmi." Oh, well, what's the old saying, "Empty drums beat loudest!" Or maybe I'm just an idiot. Or as my mom has been known to say about me, "Open mouth, switch feet." I am burning off some serious karmic debt in this life. errrrrrrr
It's raining outside. I love the smell of the rain after it stops.
OH & Diane-do you have any turkey left? My cat hates my cooking & 90% of the canned food on the market but loved your turkey. He does have good taste.
Nice to meet everyone. Thanks for saving me $ in therapy & I'll be back on the west coast gigging in 2006, so look for an updated calendar then.

Replies/dates & No Names from $ from Grace White & WWKCB
I'm not sure which is funnier, the replies or how many friendster invites I got after sending out the email. FYI-only 2 of the WWKCB replied to me that I know of.

Hi Jane. All I know is that I paid Grace. Xxx
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I suspected.
Sat 11/12/2005 8:21 AM
Hi Jane,
I was paid. Since I really like both of you (you and Grace. Well, Jon Fox seems nice too, but you get the point.), I'm trying to stay out of the whole Reno dispute. I hope you understand and do not take it personally. Especially since, if I didn't like you both, I'd be more likely to get involved. I'm considering myself Switzerland. Therefore, whenever it is mentioned to me, I plan on eating a piece of Swiss cheese and drinking a cup of Swiss Miss. I won't be opening any Swiss bank accounts.
In all seriousness, I hope you are doing well. It looks like you're getting more work which is awesome. Maybe you won't have to help out Santa this year. And thank you so much for sending me that Craig's list ad. Xxxxxxxx
PS - God I love chocolate!
Hi Jane,I hope you get paid. Grace is a wonderful woman and would not stiff you on purpose.She doesn't operate that way. You should only keep this matter between you andher instead of getting everyone involved who is not a part of this. This is betweenyou and Grace and to publicly confront her on this doesn't make you look good.You are a great comic and have a wonderful spirit. This e-mail doesn't reflect the Jane I know. I hope you two can work things out. I love you both.Xxxxxxxx
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~still waiting! PS-CYA.
Sun 11/13/2005 11:24 AM Hi Jane:

hi jane.. it's xxxxxxxxx....um, apparently mz white has a very nasty habit of firing people for...unreasonable reason and...she'll 'forget' or refuse to pay you...i took her butt to court to get money owed to me; back...she has yet to pay...be careful before doing ANY type of business with this con-artist posing as a comic/booker. GET YOUR MONEY UP FRONT before anything....she does, why not the comedians?
'let me know if i can be of help. Xxxxxxxx
~~~~~~~~~~~I'm sorry that happened to you. Thx for your honesty & offer to help.
Getting Piad for Sands Aug. Reno Gig-WWKCB?
Hi Ladies (& Gentlemen), To whom it may concern,
How are you? Hope you had fun at WWKCB in Aug. & your ventures thus far have been fruitful. Sorry if this is going to some who were not part of that but I’m not sure who (all) performed. If it is in error pls read & be informed or let me know if you have any info about this payment issue. I welcome your positive feedback/comments.
I’m waiting for a check from Grace White for the 3 days I performed @ the Sands Reno in Aug. & was wondering if you had been paid yet? There are at least six of you reading this that were witness to my performance, as well as the MANY kudos we received after the shows. (ALL 3 OF THEM). Not to mention the flyering we all did during the day for the show.
Jon Fox told me he would be paying Grace for the gig. Grace also said she had to wait until Jon paid her. She did not pay me (I thought because I knew she hadn’t been paid by Jon as yet) when she relieved me of my week there. I gave her the benefit of a doubt that she would pay me when she got paid from Jon. I did not insist upon her paying me immediately as, I’ve been informed, legally she or anyone is bound to do when relieving someone of a job they hired them to do, w/in a certain amount of time from when the job ends.
Grace, pls feel free to send my check to the PO Box below.
I do believe this was an oversight for Grace White who I deem a reputable business person. She may not have thought to look on my website or the info I provided her for an address to send the check to. I anticipate she will justify this matter w/o any further notice.
Best to all,
Jane
Mr. M., I will let you know if I do not receive the check within 14 days & we will take it from there.
